Literary Illustration

Original Sketch
Our second project was a literary illustration.  We had to select a passage either from a book or from the Bible and without plainly illustrating everything the words said, still convey an idea with a uniqe style.  I went off of the unique style of designer, BomboLand.  In their design they do alot of layering and drop shadowing to give a paper 3D look which I really liked.  I decided to give it a little shot.  I primarily used basic shapes, pen tool, drop shadows, and textures.

My Literary Passage: Isaiah 62:1-3
"For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch. The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will bestow. You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God."
